MEET YOUR STYLIST

Hi, I’m Courtney.

Fashion-obsessed, low-country-dwelling, mom of two, accidental nurse, full-time outfit planner.

Stylist, Courtney Bridges.

It was October on St. Simons — eighty degrees, no tan, and nothing season-appropriate I actually wanted to wear. Me, a lover of fashion, standing in my closet with no clue what to wear.

I threw on something "eh" (Finley's word) and promised myself: never again.

That was the day I started styling for real — planning ahead and shopping with purpose, instead of just buying what I love.

Quotation mark

Clothes make you feel good. They give you confidence. I want my clients to feel empowered when they walk into the room.

THE LONG STORY, SHORT

All roads led to fashion.

CHAPTER 01

My fashion gene really came to life when I started working at our hometown boutique, Mel & Mimi. Melanie and Mimi taught me how to truly care for a customer.

Every shopper left with the perfect outfit, wrapped in tissue, in a striped bag with ribbon handles, sipping on the locally famous Mel & Mimi bottled water.

It was dreamy. I knew I had to find a way to do fashion in real life.

I was born for the boutique.

CHAPTER 02

I majored in fashion - broadcasting, technically.

Then I left for the University of Georgia. I was determined to get a degree in broadcast news — and by news, I mean fashion news. (It was the golden age of E!.)

Fast forward: I meet my precious Jarrett, get married, and find myself in the low-country.

CHAPTER 03

Then God had other plans.

No malls, no shopping complexes, no broadcasting jobs (1.5 hours from Savannah and Jacksonville). So what did I do? Not open a boutique, lol. I went to nursing school.

Thankfully friends and family continued to reach out for fashion advice — and Stiletto & Sand was born.

CREDENTIALS

No formal training, just a gift.

I like to think I have the André Leon Talley trait. I have an eye for clothing and love its history. I continue to study apparel design and love to deep-dive on why design houses do what they do. Over the years, I’ve worked to develop my fashion sense. I’ve perfected my insight and know what looks best and makes my clients feel their best.

HOW I SHOP

Style accessible at any price point.

I hit all the shops - Neiman’s, Shopbop, My Theresa, Tagret, Walmart. Style is about balance.

CLOSETS I’D RAID

My style icons.

I’m ready for my assignment. Whatever you’re prepping for, you’ll be the biggest baddie in the room.
